The DC Multiverse is a large universe and is certainly filled with creatures or entities with great power. Superman may be the strongest Superhero in the mainstream DC Universe. But his strength is not comparable to the most powerful characters in the DC Multiverse.

This time Dafunda will discuss the 10 most powerful characters in the entire DC Multiverse. Who are they? Check out the list below.

Most Powerful Characters in DC

10. Darkseid Anti-Life Equation

Anti Life Equation Darkseid

As the ruler of Apokolips, Darkseid is a being of immense immortal power. He possesses superhuman strength, flight, energy manipulation, and telekinesis. Darkseid is also a God and the master of the Omega Beam, an inescapable force of destruction that can kill his opponent in an instant.

He desperately needed the knowledge of the Anti-Life Equation that would give him the power to dominate the minds of all living beings in the universe and make him unrivaled.

Darkseid even achieved this goal during the Final Crisis comic. He controlled Wonder Woman, destroying and reshaping reality the way he wanted.

Without the Anti-Life Equation, Darkseid is already capable of defeating the Justice League alone. By possessing the Anti-Life Equation, he is one of the most powerful forces of destruction in all of the DC Multiverse.

9. Super-Man Prime

Superman Prime

Fans in general may still believe that Superman is the most powerful comic book character ever, and that’s not wrong.

Many people and entities in the DC Universe are far more powerful than the modern incarnation of the Man of Steel, but that doesn’t mean Super-Man always loses out in terms of strength. After all, Super-Man-Silver Age can push planets with his finger and Superboy-Prime can change reality with his punch.

The most powerful incarnation of the Kryptonian being to date is Superman-Prime. Having survived until the 853rd century by establishing the Fortress of Solitude in the center of the yellow sun, this Superman spent thousands of years bathed in the light of this sun and became one of the strongest characters of the DC Universe.

8. Imperiex

Imperiex is a predator of the universe. He engages in a cycle of destroying universes when he feels like it and rising again from his own ashes.

As a being of pure entropy, the character made his debut during Our Worlds At War, where he set his sights on Earth. The ensuing battle led to the deaths of several heroes such as Aquaman, eight million Earthlings, and hundreds of billions of other creatures in the DC Universe.

His most memorable power indicator was when he defeated Doomsday and left only his bones. Defeated only by transporting him and destroying him in the Big Bang of the DC universe, Imperiex is an unrivaled force.

7. Anti-Monitor

When DC decided to change its continuity, the editors realized that they would need a new cosmic being to eliminate the multiverses. The creation of the Anti-Monitor in the Anti-matter universe and the intention to destroy all that is positive seems to be what the DC editors wanted.

In the Crisis on Infinite Earths comic, the Anti-Monitor succeeded in his main goal and reduced DC’s multiverses to a single reality, before he was finally defeated.

Successfully reducing the multiverse and keeping all heroes in their respective universes requires great power. This proves the Anti-Monitor is one of the strongest characters of the DC Multiverse.

6. Spectre

The Spectre

As the living embodiment of ‘God’s’ punishment on Earth, the Spectre is one of the most powerful entities in the DC Multiverse. The entity is so powerful, it needs to be bound to a human soul to control it. The Spectre is even capable of doing spectacular things, such as destroying entire planets and splitting two universes.

Were it not for the limitations of his bond with the human (Jim Corrigan) united by The Presence, the power of the Spectre would be unrivaled.

5. Barbatos

Barbatos was originally created to destroy universes deemed unfit for survival in the Dark Multiverse. But Barbatos rebelled and went against his creator. He even became the ruler of the entire Dark Multiverse. Not content with that, Barbatos looked to enter the main DC Multiverse to rule it as well.

To do so, he used an army of Dark Multiverse Batmen, led by the evil Batman Who Laughs. He does so to defeat the current Batman and use him as an entry point for the Light Multiverse.

Barbatos is the strongest Multiverse threat whose power can only be defeated by a few entities.

4. Doctor Manhattan

When Jon Osterman is trapped in a quantum physics experimental chamber, his body disintegrates and transforms into Doctor Manhattan. He is the only truly super-powered individual in the Watchmen universe.

His powers involve the control and manipulation of energy and matter on a quantum level, there is nothing Manhattan can’t do. He can also travel to the past and future, duplicate himself, and kill his opponents with just the move of a finger.

Having lost all of his former human nature, Manhattan left the Univers and went to the mainstream DC world. He went to learn what he knew about the nature of reality.

Since then, he has been responsible for the re-creation of the multiverse, the events in Flashpoint, Rebirth, and Doomsday Clock. Being able to reform the universe, the world, and history proved him to be an unrivaled force.

3. The Endless

Present as a part of the universe and existing beyond it, The Endless is the personification of seven universal concepts of existence: Destiny, Death, Dreams, Destruction, Desire, Despair, and Hallucination.

Although its continuity is not hampered by the usual boundaries of the DC Multiverse, Endless has appeared in some form or another in the DC Universe.

He is able to do almost anything, as he can frame the rules of the universe and is not bound by them. This gives him unlimited power to do whatever he wants.

2. Lucifer

The second strongest DC Multiverse character is Lucifer. Maybe you are familiar with the name Lucifer because it has appeared in the TV series. Lucifer is the ruler of Hell who abdicated his throne to open a piano bar in Los Angeles.

There is nothing that he cannot possess. Lucifer is like the incarnation of all superhero powers in one body. Capable of anything, one power he often displays is spontaneous creation.

This allows him to literally create something out of nothing and has been a major focus in both his comics and TV show.

1. The Presence

The Presence
The Presence | DC Comics

Due to the Comics Code Authority of the 1950s, comics were prohibited from depicting representations of deities that could offend certain religious groups.

Avoiding this, DC Comics created The Presence. They are meant to be a Judeo-Christian God, although they appear as an old man in a bowler hat or Chaplin hat.

The Presence is the supreme form of god in DC Comics. Literally capable of anything, the Presence is the strongest force in the DC Multiverse. But he has chosen to abandon his creation and have his niece, Elaine Belloc, watch over him.
