DC Comics is home to some of the most powerful heroes in comics, such as Superman. But it’s also home to a whole host of gods that have come in and out of the DC Universe over the years.
The gods ranged from the New Gods (created by Jack Kirby), Greek gods and even Japanese gods as well. Meanwhile, evil gods like Darkseid have been terrorizing Earth and the rest of the Justice League for the past few decades.
However, there are other Gods who are essentially superheroes/heroes, such as Diana of Thymescura who has been fighting to protect Earth from all threats. And this time Dafunda will discuss the 10 most powerful Gods in the entire DC Multiverse. Check out the explanation below.
Most Powerful Gods in the Entire DC Multiverse
10. Zeus

When it comes to the strongest gods in DC Comics, it wouldn’t be complete if this list didn’t start with the king of the gods, Zeus. The DC Comics version of Zeus usually sticks to what Greek mythology has established in terms of power. However, all of this can change according to who is writing the comic story.
Zeus would usually stay strong and continue to rule by being worshipped directly or indirectly by his followers. He also had a distinctive weather-controlling power, that of lightning. Zeus also had the power to resurrect the dead, change his body shape into anything and create a whole new life.
9. Darkseid

As the ruler of Apokolips, Darkseid is a being of immense immortal power. He possesses superhuman strength, flight, energy manipulation, and telekinesis. Darkseid is also a God and the master of the Omega Beam, an inescapable force of destruction that can kill his opponent in an instant.
He desperately needed the knowledge of the Anti-Life Equation that would give him the power to dominate the minds of all living beings in the universe and make him unrivaled. Darkseid even achieved this goal during the Final Crisis comic. He controlled Wonder Woman, destroying and reshaping reality the way he wanted.
Without the Anti-Life Equation, Darkseid is already capable of defeating the Justice League alone. By possessing the Anti-Life Equation, he is one of the most powerful forces of destruction in all of the DC Multiverse.
8.Metron

Metron may not be the most physically capable god when compared to the New Gods. But his powers of manipulating spacetime and alternate dimensions are unrivaled,
With his Mobius Chair, Metron can appear anytime or anywhere. With his superhuman brain, Metron knows everything about all kinds of knowledge and what something is about to happen.
Whoever occupies the Mobius-Chair will not only carry all of Metron’s accumulated knowledge. However, the user can also grant someone instant strength and power.
In other DC comics, Batman has occupied the Morbius-Chair and used it for 2 things. He asked Morbius-Chair who killed his parents and what the Joker’s real name is.
7. Trigon

Teen Titans fans are probably familiar with this demonic lord of the underworld. Trigon is rarely shown at full power. However, he can easily defeat the Teen Titans and the Justice League at once.
In his origin comics, Trigon slaughtered everyone responsible for his birth including his own mother. In less than a year, he had conquered the entire planet.
By the time he was six years old, he destroyed his home world and began traveling across the cosmos in search of new planets to conquer. By the time he was thirty, Trigon had conquered his entire dimension and several million worlds.
6. HighFather

Just like Darkseid, Highfather is one of the strongest members of the New Gods. He was able to use the power source of the source itself, many times against Darkseid, and he even managed to live to tell about it.
The Highfather is immortal, he usually appears somewhere in his late thirties. Although he is strong enough to continue fighting Darkseid, he is not strong enough to defeat him and his army on Apokolips.
However, after making a deal to broker peace, the Highfather was able to end the war with Apokolips, although it was only temporary.
5. Morpheus

An immortal being, The God of Dream created by Neil Gaiman can be whenever and wherever he wants. An evil god like Darkseid may pose a universal threat. But Morpheus can destroy any dimension in his dreams.
With his immense power, Morpheus is certainly a serious threat if he becomes the main enemy of our DC superheroes. The name Dream God may sound scary, but luckily for the heroes of the DC Universe, he is generally on their side.
4. Bruce Wayne: The Merciless

Ares and Kratos may be the gods who own the title of the evil ‘God of War’ here on Olympus. However, they are nothing compared to this version of God of War.
Bruce Wayne was already causing enough trouble when he was just a rich guy dressed as a bat. However, before the events of Dark Nights: Metal, this version of Bruce not only managed to defeat Ares the God of War. He did so with the help of Wonder Woman and also killed him afterwards.
Bruce Wayne has been driven mad by the helmet of Ares. Just as Kratos did, Bruce killed the woman he loved while under the influence of Ares.
3. Wonder Woman

Superman may seem like a god to normal people, but he’s not. That honor goes to Diana Prince, better known as Wonder Woman. Like her father Zeus, Diana has been around for a long time and has been trained to be a warrior from her childhood.
She can run as fast as some speedsters. In the comics, Wonder Woman once took Zeus’ full attack and even survived unharmed. Superman may be many things. But when it comes to Wonder Woman and other gods, her power cannot be measured by any limit.
2. Lucifer

The second most powerful god in the DC Multiverse is Lucifer. Maybe you are familiar with the name Lucifer because it has appeared in the TV series. Lucifer is the ruler of Hell who abdicated his throne to open a piano bar in Los Angeles.
There is nothing that he cannot possess. Lucifer is like the incarnation of all superhero powers in one body. Capable of anything, one power he often displays is spontaneous creation.
This allows him to literally create something out of nothing and has been a major focus in both his comics and TV show.
1. The Presence

Due to the Comics Code Authority of the 1950s, comics were prohibited from depicting representations of deities that could offend certain religious groups.
Avoiding this, DC Comics created The Presence. They are meant to be a Judeo-Christian God, although they appear as an old man in a bowler hat or Chaplin hat.
The Presence is the supreme form of god in DC Comics. Literally capable of anything, the Presence is the most powerful gods in the DC Multiverse. But he has chosen to abandon his creation and have his niece, Elaine Belloc, watch over him.
