Bandai has released gameplay details for Heihachi Mishima in Tekken 8 , along with a launch date for the additional content (DLC). In addition, Bandai Namco also announced about the new arena and story additions that will be presented in the game.
The older the stronger doesn’t seem like an overstatement when it comes to one of the most iconic characters in the Tekken franchise. After being doubted not to return due to a storyline that showed his death as one of the endings of the character’s story, he is now back in the latest series – Tekken 8.
1. Gameplay Detail Heihachi Mishima Tekken 8
In the latest gameplay trailer for Heihachi Mishima, we get to watch his moves in Tekken 8 as he fights various enemies. Among them are his two sons, Lars and Lee, as well as other DLC characters like Lidia and Eddy, and finally Jin, who has a special intro.
Finally, Heihachi returns to face Kazuya for the first time after their epic battle in Tekken 7. Heihachi will be added to the game through an update scheduled for October 3, 2024. However, players who have purchased the Season Pass will have access to play it from September 30, 2024.
2. New Power Ups for Heihachi
In the Tekken Talk that took place immediately after the trailer launch, there was more in-depth information about Heihachi’s gameplay in Tekken 8. According to director Kohei Ikeda, the design team focused on highlighting his power and techniques. One notable change in his move set is a stronger emphasis on two moves, Fujin and Raijin.
He also gains a new power-up called Warrior Instinct that players can activate for three rounds, providing a boost to damage output and increasing the amount of health that can be recovered. Additionally, there will be a new arena in Heihachi’s DLC, the Genmaji Shrine, which features three variations including fall and winter versions.
In addition to Heihachi’s gameplay, Bandai Namco also announced a number of new content for Tekken 8. One of them is a new additional story entitled Unforgotten Echoes which will feature the characters Eddy, Lidia, and Heihachi.
The story will explore why Heihachi appeared to return from the dead. This narrative content will be available as a free update, so players will not need to purchase DLC characters to enjoy it.
