In a livestreaming session that took place on March 31, 2023, HoYoverse announced the release schedule for Genshin Impact v3.6. This update, Genshin Impact takes on the theme of “The Feast of Wisdom and Wisdom”.
This update will bring the first Akademiya Extravaganza and a new adventure area in Sumeru. There will also be two new playable characters, Baizhu and Kaveh.

Genshin Impact v3.6
Organized by Akademiya Sumeru, the Akademiya Extravaganza offered visitors a chance to learn more about the most prestigious school in all of Teyvat. It was also about the different wisdoms pursued by the six Darshanas.
This grand celebration will welcome players in two main parts, the Wisdom Gala and the Inter-Dashan Championship. The Wisdom Gala will feature multiple booths and six different minigames, designed by each Darshan to showcase the characteristics and achievements of their research.
For example, Layla from Darshan Rtawahist made learning about stars in the form of an astrolabe game, where players can control the astrolabe to form a special pattern and light up the stars.
Darshan Kshahrewar’s booth will offer a game about perfecting street construction using as little material as possible, based on their knowledge of technology and architecture.
Layla Invitation Event
In addition to the celebrations, representatives from each of the Six Darshans will also compete to become the champion in the Inter-Darshan Championship, along with a new story. Layla’s Invitation Event will also be present in v3.6.
Deep behind the grand celebration in Sumeru City, there is an area consisting of barren land and a flower oasis. This place is revealed in the depths of the desert and has been damaged by the contamination of Crystal Ash and Purple Mist.
According to legend, this place was one of the main battlefields in the Khaenri’ah disaster that occurred 500 years ago. Fortunately, Traveler will have the help of “Rays”, special creatures from the oasis, in his adventure. In addition, Traveler can borrow their ability to fly and reach certain locations and secrets that cannot be accessed on foot.
At the same time, new dangers also emerged as the land expanded. Apep, the Green Grass Dragon and former ruler of Sumeru, is now the powerful weekly boss of the new Trounce Domain.

Meanwhile, more and more enemies appear as threats, such as the new Boss “Iniquitous Baptist”, and “Anemo Hilichurl Ranger” and “Hydro Hilichurl Ranger” from the Hilichurl tribe.
New Characters Genshin Impact v3.6
This new update will also add two new Characters that players can play, namely Baizhu and Kaveh who are famous for their respective skills. Baizhu, a 5★ Character who uses Catalyst, is a kind-hearted doctor who possesses Dendro’s Vision.
He is able to control wandering spirits and create a Seamless Shield to restore the party. More about Baizhu the owner of Bubu Pharmacy will be revealed in his “Chapter Lagenaria” Quest Story.
Another character that players can play is Kaveh, a 4★ Dendro character who uses Claymore. He is known as the star of Kshahrewar, and is also a talented architect in Sumeru.
Update v3.6, Nahida and Nilou will return in the first half of the Request Event. Baizhu and Kaveh will be present in the latter half of the Request Event along with the return of Ganyu.
Genshin Impact v3.6 Release Schedule
Genshin Impact v3.6 will be released on April 12th. With a massive content expansion. With cross-save support between platforms, players can enjoy their adventures through PlayStation®, PC, and mobile.
