HoYoverse and miHoYo have announced that Genshin Impact Version 5.8 “Easybreeze Holiday Resort” will be released on consoles, mobile, and PC on July 30, 2025. This update will have a summer theme.
Unlike before, a new area called Easybreeze Holiday Resort will be a permanent map located in Natlan. In addition, there is also a new permanent Story Quest and a new 5-star character, Ineffa.
Easybreeze Holiday Resort is a newly opened resort on a trial basis. This location is also the setting for the latest Story Quest, Sunspray Summer Resort. In this Story Quest, players will visit it with Bennett, Chasca, Mualani, and also Venti.
Yelan will have system improvements starting in version 5.8. This update will make it easier for users to use. Then, a new costume titled Tranquil Banquet for her will be available.
The costume has a style reminiscent of Fontaine, matching the detective’s style of clothing. Players can purchase it at a discount for a limited time.

The highlight of this update is the appearance of the first character from the Nod-Krai region. The setting will be the focus of the next Genshin Impact arc starting in version 6.0.
She is Ineffa, a new 5-star polearm-wielding character with Electro elements. Her kit introduces the Lunar-Charged reaction, a new mechanic.
This mechanic will turn a party member’s regular Electro-Charged into a new reaction that summons Thundercloud which triggers Electro damage in bursts.
Ineffa will be present in the first phase banner along with the return of Citlali. Then, the second phase will feature the reruns of Mualani and Chasca.
Ineffa’s arrival coincides with the arrival of the new Archon Quest, Prelude: The Journey Home. This is the beginning of an arc set in the Nod-Krai region titled Song of the Welkin Moon.
This summer update also brings a number of system optimizations. Short tutorial videos are now available on the new Try Characters and Character Talents pages.
Now quest timing is more practical with the “Track” feature that automatically adjusts the time, and material tracking becomes more efficient.
In the Request Event of the first half of Version 5.8, Ineffa will appear for the first time alongside Citlali. Meanwhile, Mualani and Chasca will return to greet players in the latter half.
