During the Opening Night Live Gamescom 2025 event, Team Cherry officially announced the System Requirements PC and release date for Hollow Knight: Silksong.
This game will be released on September 4, 2025, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and of course, PC.
Hollow Knight: Silksong will also be available on the first day of release for Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass subscribers.
Team Cherry claims that the lengthy development process, which took seven years, was not due to any problems or behind-the-scenes intrigue. The developers say that the development process moved forward steadily throughout that period.
The long development time is due to the fact that this game is still being worked on by a small team, and they have a clear vision of the game they want to create.
