With MPLI coming to an end, Moonton has just released the Full M4 World Championship Schedule that Mobile Legends fans have been waiting for. The venue for the M4 World Championship will be Jakarta, Indonesia on 1-15 January 2023. This is the first time for Indonesia to host the biggest MLBB Esports event in the world.
Indonesia itself will be represented by two MPL ID S10 finalists, RRQ Hoshi and ONIC Esports. Apart from Indonesia, several other Southeast Asian countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines have also confirmed their representation.

M4 World Championship Schedule
The M4 World Championship will be divided into 3 phases starting from the Group Stage, Knockout Stage (Playoffs), and also the Grand Final. All teams will compete for the fourth edition of the M-series title.
GROUP STAGE: 1-4 JANUARY 2023
- A total of 16 teams divided into 4 groups of 4 teams each.
- The format used is single round robin, meaning all matches are played in BO1.
- The 1-2 place teams in each group advance to the Upper Bracket Knockout Stage (Playoffs).
- The 3-4th-placed teams in each group advance to the Lower Bracket Knockout Stage (Playoffs).
KNOCKOUT STAGE (Playoff): 7-14 JANUARY 2023
- A total of 16 teams are divided into 2 brackets consisting of Upper and Lower Bracket.
- 8 teams start in the Upper Bracket and 8 in the Lower Bracket.
- All matches in the Upper Bracket use the BO5 format.
- The Lower Bracket matches use the BO3 format, but the Lower Bracket Semi Finals and Finals use the BO5 format.
GRAND FINALS: 15 JANUARY 2023
- The 2 teams that won the Upper Bracket Final and Lower Bracket Final will compete.
- The format used is BO7.
M4 World Championship participants
The M4 World Championship event is highly anticipated by Mobile Legends fans in the country. The ultimate Mobile Legends tournament comes once a year. The total prize pool that Moonton has prepared for this event is USD 800 thousand or around Rp12.2 billion.
