After showing the first trailer, this time 2K Games showed off a bit of gameplay trailer footage of Mafia: The Old Country gameplay trailer to fans. Mafia: The Old Country is a prequel to the first Mafia game and will be released on August 8, 2025.
The game is set in the fictitious city of San Celeste, Sicily, in the early 20th century. Players will uncover the origins of organized crime in a suspenseful mafia story set in the brutal Sicilian underworld of the 1900s.
The series tells the story of Enzo Favara, a young man who escapes forced labor and joins the Torrisi crime family. The game also has an in-depth narrative format. Using Unreal Engine 5, the game offers stunning cinematic visuals, as well as an authentic atmosphere.
Mafia: The Old Country Gameplay Trailer
Through the official video, we can see Don Torrisi as the boss ordering Enzo to convey the message that Torrisi will protect the family and cover up various scandals if Isabella, Torrisi’s daughter is involved in something.
Furthermore, we can also see some of Enzo’s missions, mini-games, and combat gameplay in Mafia The Old Country. Check out the trailer below:
The car-riding action presented in this trailer, along with the possibility of horse riding, seem more an attempt at dramatization than any real evidence that players will enjoy the freedom to explore a wider map.
With seductive visual beauty and thrilling action moments. The trailer does a good job of grabbing attention, but the actual experience may not live up to those expectations.
If the focus is only on spectacular movement without offering the depth of exploration of a wider world, then the potential that the game should have is lost.
The trailer also shows a bit of the animated side such as the action of picking up weapons that still feels “arcade” rather than something truly realistic.
Mafia: The Old Country itself is planned to be released on August 8, 2025 for Playstation 5, Xbox Series, and of course PC. That’s the new trailer discussing the gameplay of Mafia The Old Country.
