Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, is a Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) game released by Moontoon. Recently, the Mobile Legends game has reportedly become one of those that will get banned in the US.
Mobile Legends is taking similar steps to TikTok, which received an official access ban in the United States on Saturday, January 18, 2025. The reason for this ban is due to the fact that Moonton, the developer of Mobile Legends, is a subsidiary of ByteDance, the owner of TikTok.
This suspicion arose after X account owner, @Natoxz_, uploaded a screenshot of a Mobile Legends game that he could not access to play. When players attempted to visit the MLBB main page, they received a notification

The initial report of the ban on playing MLBB began when US MLBB players were unable to access the application to play. When players want to open the MLBB main page, they get a notification.
“We apologize that Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is currently not available in your country or region (US),” reads the notice.
On social media platforms like Reddit and X (Twitter), Mobile Legends players are sharing their experiences of not being able to access the game. Many of them are also asking if their accounts will be deleted due to the Mobile Legends game banning issue.
Moonton’s Response to the Mobile Legends Banning in the
On Sunday, January 19, 2025, Moonton announced information regarding this issue. Through Facebook that access to Mobile Legends: Bang Bang in the US will be temporarily suspended due to circumstances beyond their control. They also remind players to stay tuned to the official community channels for the latest news.
Moonton values its community of players and is considering bringing back the game in the future, while services in other regions continue as normal.
Regarding accounts, all account holders in the United States region will not be deleted. Moonton will continue to keep the accounts in place until there is new information.
