Rumors about Mortal Kombat 12 were finally answered through Adrew Slabin as vice president of global investor strategy Warner Bros. Although it has not been officially announced by NetherRealm Studios, Mortal Kombat 12 is predicted to be released this year.
Through a Q&A session, Adrew Slabin accidentally revealed the lineup of flagship games that they will be releasing this year. The latest games are Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and Mortal Kombat 12.
Set to Release in 2023
David Zaslav said that Mortal Kombat 12 will be released this year along with Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League. Zaslav explained that Mortal Kombat 12 is an ambitious game and will continue the main series released since 2019.
Despite an inadvertent mention on their earnings call, Warner Bros. CEO – David Zaslav has officially confirmed that Mortal Kombat 12 will be released in 2023.
“There are many more surprises to come, including the highly anticipated Mortal Kombat 12 and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, games that will also be released this year with ambitious launch projections,”.

Using a New Game Engine
According to Game Rant, Mortal Kombat 12 will have realistic graphics because it is worked on using Unreal Engine 4. Epic Games’ game engine will indeed display better visual details and that means Mortal Kombat 12 will look much more brutal than before.
Even though Unreal Engine 4 is older than Unreal Engine 5, its capacity is still considered capable when used for fighting games. Unreal Engine 5 will probably be better when used as the basis of RPG and adventure-based games.
It is not yet clear what Mortal Kombat 12 will bring by Warner Bros and NetherRealm Studios. But it is certain that the game will be announced and released in 2023.
