Gaming company NetEase has finally released the first trailer for Marvel Rivals, which fans have been waiting for after it was only a rumor. Marvel Rivals will be a shooter game that uses characters from the Marvel comic and movie universes.
Marvel Entertainment and NetEase are teaming up to launch the first shooter game with Marvel characters. This game will be a project of the NetEase team that has recruited several developers experienced in working on projects such as Call of Duty and Battlefield.
In this game, players will engage in intense 6v6 battles, choosing their favorite characters from a wide array of heroes and villains within the Marvel Universe.
Marvel Rivals First Trailer
Through its official YouTube channel, NetEase recently released a short trailer of the game they are developing, Marvel Rivals.
In the trailer, they show that the game will deliver a 6v6 shooter game experience reminiscent of Activision Blizzard’s Overwatch.
The main difference with Marvel Rivals is that it uses a third person perspective, unlike most other shooter games that use a first person perspective.
In addition, the Marvel superhero characters in this game do not use guns, unlike other superhero shooter games such as Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League.
In this game, superpowers will be the main weapon for each character. For example, the Hulk prioritizes melee attacks like in comics and movies. While characters like Iron Man or Rocket Racoon can shoot from a distance.
Marvel Rivals features attractive designs and stunning characters, seemingly inspired by the success of Overwatch. The partnership between NetEase and Marvel Games demonstrates their aim to provide a fun experience.
NetEase has not provided any information regarding the release date of this game. The only information they provide is that they will conduct the Alpha Test period in May. Meanwhile, until now, this game is planned to be released only for PC via Steam.
