Fable
The first game to open the Xbox Showcase 2023 event is Fable, a reboot of the game title of the same name.
This RPG game was first launched in 2004 and is now getting a new game developed by “Forza Horizon” developer Playground Games.
Since it’s a reboot and not a remake, the new version of Fable will likely take some important elements from the old game and change other aspects, such as the story.
Playground Games did not specify what features they will take and what they will discard. The developer confirmed that Fable will be a fresh start for the old series. Fable will be available for Xbox Series X/S and PC, but a release date has not been revealed.
South of Midnight
The South of Midnight game will carry the action-adventure genre with a third-person perspective. Players will play as Hazel, a woman who returns to her “village” in South America after a disaster. She must face various creatures that appear in South American folklore.
The plan is to release South of Midnight for Xbox Series X/S and PC (via Steam and Microsoft Store), but without a clear release date. You can also try this action game through the Xbox Game Pass.
Star Wars Outlaws
Game publisher Ubisoft has announced the arrival of the game “Star Wars Outlaws” in 2024. “Star Wars Outlaws” is the first open-world game in the “Star Wars” series.
This game is set between the movies “The Empire Strikes Back” and “Return of the Jedi”. As an original character named Kay Vess, players will work on various missions from crime syndicates across the galaxy. As such, players do not take on the role of a “Sith” or “Jedi”.
Instead of using a “Lightsaber”, Vess will use a “Blaster” rifle to fight enemies. Star Wars Outlaws will be available for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
33 Immortals
Multiplayer games usually only include four people at a time. This is different with 33 Immortals, which invites 33 players to work together against the various tough monsters at hand.
33 Immortals is a roguelike genre, so each game session will feature different enemies, challenges, and rewards. Each player must prepare an equipment setup and skills that are suitable for all circumstances.
The game by Thunder Lotus Games launches in 2024 for Xbox Series X/S and PC (via the Epic Games Store and Microsoft Store) at a price of 29.99 US dollars (IDR 445,936). Users can also play the game with Xbox Game Pass.
