A while back, Paradox Interactive shared the first gameplay of their brand new game titled Life by You. Life by You is the debut title from Paradox Tectonic, a studio founded in 2019 and headed by Rod Humble. He is the former boss of EA’s The Sims label and former CEO of Second Life creator Linden Lab.
In this game, players can design and live the human lives they create in an open-world game world where everything can be customized. Players create their households, build their homes, and tell many stories in life.
With native language conversations and players will connect with their humans on an emotional level. The developers state that they will offer massive customization features as well as storytelling and real human interaction.
Life by You First Gameplay
Life by You evolves the life simulation genre with modern style, native language conversations, and unprecedented freedom of expression. The game’s extensive customization tools allow for an unparalleled level of storytelling.
As an Early Access game, Paradox Tectonic hopes to work directly with you to determine ideas and content. This will encourage prioritization in game development and allow Life by You to be released in full.
Life by You will remain in Early Access for at least 12 months. Although this is subject to change as the developer will continue to develop and receive feedback from players in the initial release period.

- Design Your Own World – Build your human dream home or business from scratch. Complete them from top to bottom, inside out. Drag, crush and reorganize entire cities.
- Create Fully Customized Humans – Design your family in Human Creator, including in-depth personalities and characters. Style and change your humans at any time.
Life by You will be released in early access for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on September 12.
