PS5 Successfully Sold 40 Million Units

PS5 successfully sold as many as 40 million units. WOW even though it’s only been 2.5 years since its launch.

As we know, the Playstation 5 console was first launched on November 19, 2020 in the United States. While in Indonesia, Sony’s latest console was launched on January 22, 2021.

So in other words, the PS5 is only about 2-2.5 years old. Even though it hasn’t been around that long, we can say that this console is really great.

Yes, but it’s natural anyway. Because once again the situation at that time was still a pandemic Covid-19. Which, indeed requires us to always stay indoors.

But who would have thought that the total of all sales during the pandemic, then combined with total sales from other parts of the world in the next 2.5 years or so, actually succeeded in providing an okay achievement for this console?

Yes, as you can see from the title and also from Sony Interactive, as of July 27, 2023, PS5 has sold 40 million units of consoles.

Again, this is certainly a proud achievement. It’s even prouder when we also remember that just in February 2023, we heard/read that thePS5 console had sold 32 million units.

That means it will only take 5-6 months for this console to reach 8 million units again. 8 million units in 6 months? WOW that is very rare. Especially in these difficult and expensive times.
