Some time ago, Capcom as the developer of the Resident Evil game shared the latest gameplay footage video from Resident Evil 4 Remake. This Resident Evil brings a realistic graphic display with a higher resolution.

In addition, Capcom will also modernize the graphics for a more realistic visualization of the game and will update the Resident Evil 4 Remake controls to modern standards. Resident Evil 4 Remake will be set six years after the biological disaster in Racoon City.

Resident Evil 4 Remake Gameplay

Capcom shared a video showing a session where Leon is exploring the mining area, his fight against Garrador. Leon’s visit to the Merchant’s shop to buy weapons and upgrade weapons, where we are also shown again the menu display and what items are sold there.

Capcom also shows the action of Leon who must survive while ensuring Ashley’s safety in the Castle area. Which is before he finally meets one of the iconic villain characters in this game, Ramon Salazar.

The conversation scene between Leon and Salazar here seems to have undergone changes so as not to sound too cheese. Afterward, Leon again had to finish off the Castle soldiers while making sure Ashley was not kidnapped by them.

The final footage shows Leon’s fight scene against Krauser, which is now presented in the form of hand to hand combat. He fights with a knife and focuses on the parry mechanic instead of just a cutscene with QTEs.

New Enemies

Capcom’s art director Hirofumi Nakaoka explains the new enemy variant that Leon will face in Resident Evil 4 Remake. The enemy is Minitour, a large man who is seen wearing a cow’s head while carrying a giant hammer weapon.

Minitour itself is presented to add a new enemy variant with the strongest type that can make it difficult for Leon with his hammer swing attack. The reason why this enemy character wears a cow’s head is to match the horror religion motif of Los Iluminados.

In addition, Resident Evil has always featured animal heads in every building decoration. It would be interesting if it is also implemented in the enemy characters that Leon must face this time.

Resident Evil 4 Remake itself is confirmed to be released for PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PS4, and also PC (Steam) on March 24, 2023.
