On April 16, 2025, Sony Interactive Entertainment unequivocally announced news that was not necessarily welcomed with joy by PlayStation fans in Southeast Asia. They announced plans to increase the price of PlayStation Plus subscriptions in the region.
This is news that has caused some confusion for loyal PlayStation users in the Southeast Asia community. The price hike will certainly have an impact on users’ decision to renew their subscription.
