The Lord of the Rings: Gollum finally got its new release date after several delays. The reason the game was delayed was to ensure the “best experience” according to Daedalic.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is a story-driven action RPG game where players embark on a mission to retrieve the ring. The game was first revealed in 2019 and was originally scheduled to launch in 2021. However, the game keeps getting delayed.
“We are working hard to deliver the best experience possible and we have decided to delay the launch of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum in a few months. We will provide an update in the near future,”.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is the first video game in collaboration with Daedalic Entertainment and Middle-earth Enterprises. It focuses on expanding the universe of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings.
The game will retain its vision while bringing new experiences in the future. Nacon’s flagship game is built using the Unreal Engine and will support all languages so that players from all over the world can enjoy the game’s adventures.
This game will be set in the period between The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. It also promises a player decision mechanic where players will play Gollum and Smeagol and battle each other.
Will Release in 2023
In the announcement, the game developed by Daedalic Entertainment will not be released in early 2023, but at the end of 2023, precisely in September.
The game was originally announced with a 2021 release date, which was then pushed to September 2022, which was then followed by another delay. When it comes out, the game will be available on Xbox One, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
