Shooting for the live action adaptation of Until Dawn has officially wrapped up, as the director announced on social media.
The trend of adapting video games into movie formats seems to be making a comeback, especially in the horror genre. After several previous titles such as Resident Evil and Alone in the Dark, there is now another horror game adaptation, Until Dawn. The movie itself adapts from a PlayStation exclusive game.
1. Director Confirms Until Dawn Live Action Shooting Process has Completed
The director, David F. Sandberg, recently shared a photo on his Instagram account informing us that the shooting process for the live action Until Dawn movie has been completed.
The photo Sandberg uploaded shows a window covered in blood. In addition, in the photo caption, Sandberg also said that the film’s production has now officially ended.
Although the film production process has officially been completed, there is no information on when the film will be officially released. However, there is a possibility that the movie will air at the end of 2025, considering the production process has just been completed.
If we look at various movie projects with similar genres in recent years, horror movies are usually released between March and October, depending on the movie.
2. Will Compete with Other Horror Movies
Maybe this horror movie will be released to enliven the summer before Halloween. Until Dawn aside, 2025 looks to be an exciting year for horror movie fans.
This movie will compete with other famous horror titles such as The Wolf Man, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, Saw XI, and 28 Years Later. Most of these movies are sequels to previously popular ones.
The movie tells the story of a group of teenagers who throw a party in a mountain camp cabin. However, their fun is interrupted by the presence of a mysterious figure who tries to finish them off.
Until Dawn live action will feature Ella Rubin, Michael Cimino, Odessa A’zion, Yoo Ji-young Maia, Mitchell, and Peter Stormare. As of now, we still don’t have much information about the storylines of these movies.
