Sony has officially announced that Nicolas Cage will be the lead in the live action TV series adaptation of Spider-Man Noir.
Sony, who we know has big plans for their characters, especially those related to Spider-Man, has previously launched Sony’s Spider-Man Universe which includes movies about Spider-Man villains like Venom, Morbius, and Kraven the Hunter.

This information comes from an official statement that MGM and Sony issued. Both are working together to create the series. Previously, Spider-Verse movie actor Nicolas Cage revealed that he was in talks with Amazon and MGM regarding this project.
After Nicolas Cage became the voice of Spider-Man Noir in Spider-Verse, fans were very surprised by it.
They then asked Sony to give Nic the opportunity to play Spider-Man Noir in the live action version. Finally, the request was fulfilled in the Noir TV series project.
During the Upfront presentation, Vernon Sanders of MGM Studios and Katherine Pope of Sony Pictures Television Studios officially announced that Nicolas Cage has joined the project.

The story follows an aging, down-on-his-luck private detective (Cage) in 1930s New York. He is forced to confront his past as the city’s only superhero.
