Netflix’s Newest Movies and Series Geeked Week 2024
1. Arcane Season 2
The animated series coming to Netflix later this year is Arcane Season 2. The first season of the series has already managed to captivate fans. Airing in three parts, the first part will be released on November 9, 2024, followed by the second part on November 16, and ending with the release of the third part on November 23.
2. The Platform 2
The inmates must again struggle to survive in a vertical prison with a cruel system. The success of The Platform prompted Netflix to release a sequel to the Spanish film on October 4, 2024.
3. It’s What’s Inside
Next up is a psychological horror movie called It’s What’s Inside. Netflix has secured the global distribution rights of this film by director Greg Jardin with a fantastic acquisition value of 17 million dollars after stealing the show at the Sundance Film Festival.
The movie is scheduled to air on October 4, 2024 on Netflix.
4. Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft
Netflix has released the latest trailer for Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft. This upcoming animated series is set after the events in the Tomb Raider Survivor game and will air on Netflix on October 10, 2024.
5. Gundam: Requiem For Vengeance
Next up is Gundam: Requiem For Vengeance. The animated series will air on October 17, 2024. Netflix has released a four-minute clip for Gundam: Requiem For Vengeance. This Gundam series is a collaboration between anime studio Sunrise and Netflix.
6. Don’t Move
At Netflix Geeked Week 2024, Netflix also announced that it will soon launch a horror movie called Don’t Move by director Sam Raimi. The movie tells the story of a woman who gets lost in the Big Sur jungle and must fight for survival while avoiding a serial killer who is hunting her. The latest trailer for Don’t Move has also just been released and the movie will hit theaters on October 25, 2024.
7. Hellbound Season 2
Netflix has finally unveiled the first teaser for Hellbound season 2. In the trailer, we can see Kim Sung Cheol taking over Yoo Ah In’s role as Jung Jin Su.
This short teaser released by Netflix shows the figure of the New Truth Society sect leader who comes face to face with creatures from hell. He suffers a total defeat, but then rises back from the dead.
During Netflix Geek Weeked 2024, Netflix announced that Hellbound season 2 will air on October 25, 2024.
8. Squid Game Season 2
Furthermore, Netflix also announced a sequel to Squid Game that will continue into a second season. Netflix released a long trailer and officially announced that the series will air on December 26, 2024.
9. Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2
IGN gave a 9/10 rating to the first season of Castlevania: Nocturne in 2023. If you’ve been waiting to hear about the next season of the series, Netflix has finally announced that Season 2 is coming in January 2025.
10. Sakamoto Days
Netflix has announced that the Sakamoto Days anime will air globally in January 2025. This means that anime fans in Indonesia can also watch the series legally.
11. Devil May Cry
Devil May Cry will be a new animated series. It will tell the story of Dante, a character who is already well-known to fans through the game franchise of the same name. The Devil May Cry animated series is scheduled to air in April 2025.
12. Wednesday Season 2
Furthermore, Netflix also announced about Wednesday Season 2. The popularity of Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Addams character has made fans eagerly await the arrival of Wednesday Season 2.

13. The Witcher Sirens of the Deep
For fans of The Witcher games, there’s good news that the new animated Witcher movie will feature Doug Cockle as the voice of Geralt of Rivia. Netflix has released a new trailer for the movie along with a release date of February 11, 2025.
14. Black Mirror
Next up is Netflix’s hit series Black Mirror. The series is coming up with its seventh season. In the newly released teaser video, Netflix surprised us by introducing some of the actors who will be involved.
Among the stars announced are Awkwafina, Issa Rae, Paul Giamatti, and others. The seventh season of Black Mirror is set to air in 2025.
15. Wolf King
Although the title of this series reminds us of Tiger King, it is actually a new fantasy adventure series that will be airing on Netflix. Adapting the book Wereworld by Curtis Jobling, Wolf King is an animated series that follows Drew Ferran’s journey in the growing up story of a boy who realizes he is the last descendant of a werewolf.
Currently, there are six books in the Wereworld series, so if the show is successful, there is a possibility for multiple seasons. The first season will air on Netflix in 2025.
16. Stranger Things Season 5
Netflix Geek Weeked 2024 also featured updates from the set of Stranger Things season 5, which is set to air in 2025.
