Marvel Studios, through Marvel Animation, officially announced a number of their latest animated projects, both those that will be released soon and those that are still in development.
They shared this information at the D23 event that took place yesterday, where Disney and some of its subsidiaries made presentations about various upcoming projects. One that stood out was Marvel Studios.
After making the announcement at SDCC 2024, they also presented some interesting information at D23.
In its presentation yesterday, Marvel Studios revealed a number of new projects for Marvel Animation. There are about five animation projects that they announced for Marvel Animation.
Marvel Animation New Projects
1. What If? Season 3
The What If…? series is one of the most successful animated series in the MCU. The first two seasons of the series even gained immense popularity. Hence, at the end of the second season, the series gave a hint of the upcoming third season.
2. X-Men ‘97 Season 2
Marvel Studios ‘ next animated project is X-Men ’97 Season 2. The second season of X-Men ’97 became one of the projects that received great attention. This classic series is very popular among fans.
The reaction to the series’ release in March 2024 was very positive, so fans are looking forward to the next season. As of now, there is limited information available about the series, except for the X-Men characters who will appear in the next season and the costumes they will wear.
3. Marvel Zombies
In addition to these two series, there is also another series that is highly anticipated by fans, namely Marvel Zombies. Fans have previously gotten an overview of Marvel Zombies and the world of zombies in season 1, Episode 5 of the What If…? series.
The storyline shows how the Avengers were exposed to a virus from the Quantum World, which triggered a catastrophic zombie outbreak.
Although there is no official information regarding the air date, previous news mentioned that the series will air in 2024. In addition, the series will consist of 4 episodes.
4. Eyes of Wakanda
Furthermore, they also shared information about one of the series that fans are also eagerly waiting for, Eyes of Wakanda. Based on the information available, this series will present a new element in the Marvel Universe.
In particular, they will introduce the famous mystical city, K’un-Lun, and its culture. It is also known that an updated version of Iron Fist will appear in the series.
Ryan Coogler, as the director of the series, revealed that “Eyes of Wakanda” will explore the reasons behind the country’s decision to be secretive and secretive. The series will introduce a new character named Nonii, who will play a disruptive role in Wakanda with the aim of introducing the country to the world.
Eyes of Wakanda is scheduled for release in 2024 with a total of 4 episodes, but the exact date is still unavailable.
5. Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man
Marvel’s latest animated series is Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. In its presentation, Marvel revealed that Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man will offer a format that will give viewers the experience as if they were reading comics in visual form.
In addition, another piece of information they shared was that actor Colman Dorminggo will be voicing the character Norman Osbon, who is known to appear in the series.
