Anya Taylor-Joy recently expressed her desire to play Elsa in the live-action version of Frozen. She was intrigued by Elsa’s power of ice magic in the movie. The 28-year-old actress is also interested in Elsa because the main character is very popular with children.
Looking at her performances in previous films, such as The Queen’s Gambit (2020) and Last Night in Soho (2021), Anya does seem very suitable for the role of the ice queen.
Anya Taylor-Joy’s wish to star as Elsa in Live Action Frozen
According to a report from NME on Monday (02/09/2024), she revealed that if she gets the chance to play in a live-action musical movie, she will choose the Frozen franchise. Anya stated that she would love to do acting while singing and dancing.
“I think Frozen would be great. It would be really fun to shoot ice out of your hands,” he said.
Anya also expressed her hope to make her nieces and nephews proud by playing the character of Elsa.
“It would be really cool if my nieces and nephews could say ‘My aunt is Elsa’,” she adds.
Besides relying on her acting talent, Anya has also shown great interest in performing in musicals.
“I enjoy working hard and feel good when I take on seemingly impossible challenges. The idea of singing, dancing, and acting at the same time really motivates me,” says the Florida-born American actress.
Anya has been a ballet dancer since she was a child, which gives her an edge when it comes to portraying Elsa in the live-action musical version. In addition, her experience performing stunts in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (2024) shows that he is ready for action in the next movie.
Frozen Live Action Project Speculation
This statement has certainly led to speculation about Anya’s possible involvement in the live-action adaptation of Frozen. Until now, Disney has not made an official announcement regarding Anya’s role as Elsa.
