Constantine fans can now rejoice as a Constantine 2 movie is reportedly in the pipeline. In an exclusive interview at San Diego Comic-Con 2024, Lorenzo di Bonaventura gave an update on the project.
Although Warner Bros. and DC have undergone various changes since the announcement regarding the return of Keanu Reeves and director Francis Lawrence in 2022, the project is still moving forward.
Constantine 2 Movie Script Process to Be Completed Soon
According to Bonaventura, the producer of the movie, script writing is underway and will likely be completed in the not too distant future.
“The script is being written now, and it’s not too far away. We have to get a good script, but we’re off to a good start because the movie star that everyone wants (Keanu Reeves) wants to be this character again,” he said.
He stated that there are many opportunities in this franchise for deeper exploration. Just like what made the first movie so satisfying.
When the interviewer asked about the return of the rest of the cast, Bonaventura revealed that currently only Keanu Reeves will definitely be returning.
