The movie Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle will reportedly have a very long runtime. In fact, its duration is approaching the record for the longest anime film to hit theaters.
The movie will continue the story from the end of the fourth season of Demon Slayer as well as the Hashira Training Arc. Infinity Castle will highlight two major arcs from the manga, namely Infinity Castle and Sunrise Countdown.
These two parts are the most epic and emotional moments in the entire Kimetsu no Yaiba narrative. So it’s only natural that the movie adaptation was made longer to ensure all the important details were conveyed.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Runtime

Based on the latest information that has been circulating, the movie will have a running time of around 2 hours and 35 minutes. This is quite an astonishing figure, considering that the movie that preceded it, Mugen Train, is only about 1 hour and 57 minutes long.
With this long duration, Infinity Castle might be one of the longest anime movies ever. This duration is only about 13 minutes away from the current record of In This Corner (and Other Corners) of the World.
For your information, Mugen Train has managed to collect more than 500 million dollars worldwide, despite being released during the pandemic. The achievement made it the highest-grossing Japanese film in history, beating the iconic work Spirited Away.
Now, with the overwhelming enthusiasm and growing number of fans, many are optimistic that Infinity Castle can surpass that incredible feat.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle will be released earlier in Japan on July 18, 2025, and will follow in US and UK theaters on September 12, 2025. The good news for Indonesia is that the movie will be released earlier than the US and UK, on August 15, 2025.
Crunchyroll, as the distribution rights holder, has high hopes for this movie. Asa Suehira, their head of content, stated that Mugen Train’s achievements have changed the industry’s view of anime in feature films.
He also emphasized that Infinity Castle will be released on an unprecedented scale, making it an important milestone for anime in the world of cinema.
So, for those of you who can’t wait to witness the epic battle between the Hashira against Upper Moon and the main antagonist, get ready to welcome an anime movie that has the potential to create new history in the film industry.
