Den of Thieves 3 Goes into Production, Gerard Butler Returns

After the success of Den of Thieves 2, Gerard Butler is rumored to be returning to action in Den of Thieves 3.

Lionsgate, Tucker Tooley Entertainment, and G-BASE are now in the active process of developing a Den of Thieves 3 movie. Gerard Butler will reportedly return as the lead star and producer through G-BASE, alongside his partner Alan Siegel.

In addition, Lionsgate is also in negotiations with Christian Gudegast, the writer and director of the franchise. The hope is that he will be involved in writing and directing the movie again. In addition, according to Deadline ‘s report , it is likely that O’Shea Jackson Jr. will also join the cast for this third installment.

Den of Thieves 2: Pantera has topped the box office in North America. The movie has earned more than $32 million to date in the domestic market. With the return of Butler and possibly Gudegast as director, Den of Thieves 3 is set to deliver even more thrilling action.

Tucker Tooley Entertainment, which was previously involved in producing and financing the first film and brought the franchise to Lionsgate from STX, will serve as co-producer and co-finance “Den of Thieves 3.”

Tooley will produce the movie through his label, while Lionsgate will take over distribution duties for the upcoming sequel.
