A week ago, we published a report saying that the Wonder Woman 3 project was so unclear about its fate. The report we released said that the presence of James Gunn & Peter Safrano as the driving force of DC Studios was the cause.
But recently, the director of the Wonder Woman 3 project, Petty Jankins, clarified the news. He explained that the fate of the third film project of Diana Prince’s character was fine & the presence of Gunn and Safran actually made him open to all possibilities. What does he mean by this? Just check out this article further.
Denies rumors of her departure from Wonder Woman 3 project
Quoting a report from Republika, Wonder Woman 3 director Patty Jenkins responded to rumors of the cancellation of the film project which was reported to be unclear and possibly delayed. Jenkins, who also directed the previous two Wonder Woman films, said she was excited to complete the trilogy.
These words from Patty Jenkins also directly refute the report we released last week. Namely how Jenkins directed the film that was rejected by James Gunn and Peter Safran as the new head of DC Studios. According to reports, Jenkins’ plans do not fit into the new plan for the company.
Once again, Patty Jenkins insists that the rumors of her leaving the Wonder Woman 3 project are not true. She said that she never left, in fact, she is open to considering many things.
“When the backlash started about Wonder Woman 3 not happening. The false stories about me choosing to end it or leave started to spread. It was my understanding that there was nothing I could do at this point. DC is clearly buried in the changes they have to make, so I understand this decision is difficult for now,” Jenkins said as summarized by Republika.
Striving to Create a Legacy to Remember
Furthermore. Jenkins also said that she doesn’t want what has been a wonderful journey with the Wonder Woman franchise to get a negative note. The 51-year-old director loves and is honored to be the one who made the last two Wonder Woman films.
She considers the character of Diana Prince in the film to be extraordinary. Living in and around her values makes one a better person every day. Jenkins wishes Wonder Woman and her legacy a great future. Both with and without her.
Jenkins expressed her gratitude for working with the original Wonder Woman actor Lynda Carter, plus Gal Gadot, who played Wonder Woman in both Jenkins’ films. Gal is said to be the greatest gift she received in the whole journey.
