Runtime Guardians of the Galaxy 3, aka Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023), has finally been revealed. It will be longer, guys!
For those of us who are MCU fanboys, surely now we are very impatient with the release of the third Guardians of the Galaxy movie. The film itself will be released on May 5, 2023.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 as we know will also be the third and final film of the original GOTG MCU team. This is of course because the director and scriptwriter of the film trilogy, James Gunn (Peacemaker), has now moved to Warner Bros aka DC Universe.

Well based on this fact, it’s no wonder that in the last few months we have been waiting for this movie. Even so impatient, we have been busy here and there looking for any kind of info. One of which is info related to the duration of the movie.
Based on this statement, how long will Guardians of the Galaxy 3 be? Will it be longer than the previous two movies?
The Longest GOTG Movie
The answer is absolutely correct. The duration of Guardians of the Galaxy 3 will make this third movie the longest GOTG movie. This is because as reported by GameRant, this movie will be 149 minutes long.
For comparison, Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) is 122 minutes long. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 (2017) is 137 minutes long. Or in other words, the duration of this movie is 27 minutes longer than the first movie, and 12 minutes longer than the second movie.
And it’s only natural that the third movie will be much longer. Apart from the parting of ways with Gunn, once again in this movie we will part ways with the original GOTG team.
MCU’s Longest Movie
However, this long duration does not only make this movie the longest GOTG movie. Specifically, with this duration, the movie will also be one of the MCU films (as a whole) with the longest duration.
This movie will accompany: Eternals, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and Avengers: Endgame in the category. Now, what do you think about this fact?
