Finally, we can see Hiccup and Toothless in action again. Now that DreamWorks has released the teaser trailer for How To Train Your Dragon.
After achieving tremendous success with the animated trilogy, the movie is back with a more realistic look. In addition, the movie will feature famous actors who will take on the roles of iconic characters from the world of Vikings and dragons.
The project has garnered a lot of attention since it was announced in February 2023, and now fans are even more excited to see how the story of Hiccup and Toothless comes to life in theaters .
1. Live Action How to Train Your Dragon Teaser Trailer
The first teaser trailer for the live action movie ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ was finally released on November 19, 2024. In the trailer, Stoick the Vast, the leader of the Viking tribe, played by Gerard Butler, again delivers a hopeful message to his son.
“When you brought this axe, you brought us all with you,” Stoick said to Hiccup, who hesitantly replied, “Dad, I can’t kill a dragon.”
The story takes a turn when Hiccup, played by Mason Thames, comes across a wounded dragon. Instead of killing it, Hiccup chooses to forge a unique friendship with the creature. In a touching moment, he revealed, “It’s okay. I won’t hurt you.”
The live action movie How to Train Your Dragon introduced many new faces. Such as Mason Thames who plays Hiccup, Nico Parker as Astrid, and Julian Dennison as Fishlegs Ingerman. In addition, the movie also features famous names in Hollywood, including Gerard Butler who plays Hiccup’s father, Stoick the Vast.
Interestingly, Gerard Butler was the voice actor for Stoick in the animated version. Dean DeBlois returns as writer and director for this live action film adaptation. Previously he also had the same task in the animated film.
