How Wolverine fits into Deadpool 3 according to Hugh Jackman
1. Time machine or multiverse
Hugh Jackman, in his interview on Sirius XM, said that the open concept of time and the multiverse in the MCU makes all possibilities, including a meeting between Wolverine and Deadpool, endless.
“You know, because of this device that they made that can travel between time and universes, now we can go back, because you know, it’s scientific.” Hugh Jackman replied.
2. Deadpool & Wolverine won’t spoil Logan
The Logan movie was a bitter-sweet ending for Logan and Wolverine in the Fox universe. That’s why Hugh Jackman stated that he didn’t want his presence in Deadpool 3 to disrupt the achievements made in Logan.
“Because it goes back to a certain point in time, so I didn’t ruin the Logan movie, because you know that movie is important to me, and of course also to the fans.” Hugh Jackman continued.
3. In the second movie, Deadpool does time travel
Currently, time travel and the multiverse are a major focus in the MCU, which has also led to conflict between the Avengers and Kang The Conqueror.
Then, in the second movie, Deadpool has traveled through time and the universe. Perhaps in doing so, he managed to get Wolverine to come along for the ride.
Even if they wanted to, the moment when they meet could be set exactly when Deadpool (from the movie series) appears in Wolverine’s X-Men Origins timeline, right when he defeats Deadpool from that timeline.
