In his statement, Gunn confirmed that the Creature Commandos, Superman, and Peacemaker Season 2 projects are officially part of the DCU canon.
In other words, these three projects will form an important foundation for the development of future major storylines. Gunn emphasized, “Everything in Creature Commandos, Superman, and Peacemaker Season 2 is part of the canon.”
Gunn also emphasized that everything in the Previously Seen segment of Peacemaker Season 2 is considered DCU canon. This move is an effective method of unifying the relationship between the old and new storylines. Thus, fans need not doubt whether the events mentioned are merely light references or actual parts of the DCU universe.
