James Gunn hints at the presence of the classic character Deadman who will also appear in the DC Universe.

While there are already a number of new characters that DC Universe has officially introduced, that doesn’t mean there won’t be more to come.

Instead, these projects provide an opportunity for the studio to introduce and present more characters from DC Comics.

After DC Studios announced the arrival of its new CEO and Co-CEO, Peter Safran and James Gunn, they started revealing various superhero movie and series projects. Because of this, many fans have started speculating about which other characters will appear in the future.

On Wednesday, Gunn posted a photo on his personal Thread and Instagram accounts. The photo is the main image from the DC Universe Presents: Deadman #1 comic miniseries that was released in 2011.

The existence of the Deadman cover image Gunn shared on social media sparked a lot of talk among fans. Many speculate that Bostom Brand or Deadman, might be a new character that will appear in the DC Universe.

This is not the first time Gunn has shared the Deadman cover image. Last year, precisely in 2022, he also uploaded something similar.

Until now, there has been no clear hint of Deadman’s possible appearance in the DCU, except in his solo project and also the Justice League Dark project that fans have been waiting for.

Given Gunn’s big plans, there is a possibility that Deadman will appear in director James Mangold’s Swamp Thing. It is also possible that Deadman will appear as a cameo in several other projects such as Creature Commandos or others.

Without giving an explanation, Gunn uploaded cover images of several DC characters on his social media accounts.

One of the images uploaded was of Mister Terrific and Captain Atom. A few years later, the official announcement was made that Edi Gathegi would be playing Mister Terrific in the Superman reboot movie project.

This suggests the possibility that it won’t be long before Gunn introduces Deadman to the DCU.
