In a recent interview with THR, Karen Gillan confirmed that Jumanji 4 will still be in production, and it’s just a matter of time before it’s made and released.
Since director Jake Kasdan’s announcement of a new Jumanji movie in March 2020, fans have been eagerly awaiting more information about the Dwayne Johnson-starring adventure film.
For those who may have forgotten, the Jumanji franchise has come back to life with the movie Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. Of course, Welcome to the Jungle is targeted at a new generation of audiences.
The Jumanji franchise has always featured well-known actors. For example, Dwayne Johnson played Dr. Xander in the film.
Jumanji 4 will definitely go into production, it’s just a matter of time
After the success of Welcome to the Jungle, a sequel was released in 2019, titled Jumanji: The Next Level.
Although The Next Level ended with a cliffhanger ending, in recent years, there have been no new developments about the fate of Jumanji 4.
Luckily, Karen Gillan has now confirmed that the fourth movie will still be produced.
“I’m sure it’s hard to organize everyone’s schedules, but I haven’t heard anything about it other than the fact that we’re going to do it sometime. So, we’re all very enthusiastic about it. We all love working on those movies, and it’s just a matter of when.” Karen Gillan told THR.
Two Jumanji Stars Still Busy with Their Projects?
Currently, Johnson is busy with several projects, one of which is Disney’s live action Moana. Apart from being a producer, he will also play the character Maui.
Previously, he had also just made his superhero debut with DC’s Black Adam. In addition to Johnson, Karen Gillan also recently appeared in the MCU’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which is one of the best superhero movies of 2023.
