1. Synopsis
The main character in this movie is an ustaz named Adam. He is famous as an expert in the practice of Sharia rukiah.
One day, his wife had a fatal accident and died. Adam was not prepared for the loss of his wife. This tragic loss made his faith waver.
Adam chose to abandon his participation in religious activities. He also did not want to help people in the practice of rukiah as he felt that he did not have sufficient skills for the job. However, then one day, Adam received a visit from a patient named Maria.
Maria was a woman who was depressed and her body was being possessed by a very strong evil spirit. When the verses of the Holy Qur’an were recited, instead of being afraid, the demon inside Maria laughed.
Adam persevered and continued to say prayers, and eventually the demon left Mary’s body. Some time later, Imam Ali, Adam’s religious teacher, was found dead.
Adam believed that there was a connection between the accident that killed his wife, the demon that possessed Mary, and the cause of Imam Ali’s death, as well as some mystical events that occurred in his village.
