At San Diego Comic-Con 2024, Marvel Studios made a big surprise for Marvel fans by revealing Galactus ‘ presence in the MCU.
Galactus is one of the main villains from the Fantastic Four comics. Marvel created a spectacular drone show in the skies of San Diego featuring visuals of the villain.
Hints of Galactus’ presence in the MCU via drones
The drone show that took place over Petco Field broke two world records, the largest image ever projected using drones and the largest number of drones used in a single show.
The show itself was held after the exclusive screening of Deadpool & Wolverine in Hall-H of SDCC 2024.
As TheWrap reports, the show featured a variety of interesting visuals and eventually formed the iconic image of Galactus. The announcement left the audience surprised and excited as the night sky was the backdrop.
While Marvel has yet to officially announce further details, this appearance clearly indicates that Galactus will have an important role in future stories in the MCU.
Could Replace Kang the Conqueror as Multiverse Saga’s Main Villain
Galactus is a fictional character in Marvel comics who possesses incredible powers. This character was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, and is very famous in the Marvel world for his role as a very scary villain.
This character is classified as an intergalactic supervillain due to his threat level that has the ability to destroy planet earth. In fact, he is ranked at the top of IGN’s ‘100 Most Popular Comic Villains’ list.
After the presence of Thanos, many Marvel fans hoped that Galactus could appear in a Marvel Studios movie.
What’s more, it was recently rumored that actor Ralph Ineson is being considered to play Galactus in the Fanatstic Four movie that is planned to be released in 2025.
The interesting thing is, whether a villain as great and big as Galactus will only appear in one MCU film, or whether Galactus will become a big enemy in the Multiverse Saga replacing Kang the Conqueror whose actor is involved in legal problems.
Galactus’ presence in the MCU has been enthusiastically anticipated by fans. Galactus is a very powerful character and is often a big threat to the heroes in the Marvel Universe, especially the Fantastic Four.
