The Masters of the Universe movie is showing new signs of life with the release of the official logo that Amazon MGM recently announced. Nicholas Galitzine will play He-Man, the hero of the planet Eternia.
The movie is directed by Travis Knight, who previously worked on Bumblebee. Interestingly, this latest version of Masters of the Universe is set in two different locations, planet Eternia and planet Earth. As such, viewers will enjoy a blend of classic fantasy elements as well as a more contemporary, real-world feel.

In a recent short video, the movie’s logo appeared with epic music that created a grand and energetic atmosphere. Although the logo design is simple, its presence gives a strong indication that the promotion of the reboot movie will begin soon.
Masters of the Universe is scheduled to hit theaters on June 5, 2026. With the official logo already released and the production process completed, we will most likely see the first trailer in the near future.
Director Travis Knight has brought in Chris Butler to pen the new script, previously known for his work on the animated film ParaNorman. The project has undergone a lengthy writing process, with David Callaham and pair Aaron and Adam Nee also contributing. However, it is yet to be seen who will get the final credit as the lead writer on the project.
Aside from Galitzine, the cast lineup involved in this project is also very interesting. Jared Leto will play Skeletor, the main antagonist of He-Man, a character that fans are eagerly awaiting thanks to his iconic appearance and significant role in the Masters of the Universe universe.
In addition, there is Alison Brie who plays Evil-Lyn, Camila Mendes as Teela, and Idris Elba who will take on the role of Man-at-Arms, Teela’s father. The presence of these actors confirms that the movie is serious about building a high-quality big-screen version of the Eternia world.
Dolph Lundgren Returns
Another surprise came from legendary actor Dolph Lundgren, who played He-Man in the 1987 film version. He has signaled his possible involvement in this latest project, although he has yet to reveal what role he will play.
Lundgren also seems to still have a strong emotional bond with the character. “It’s been more than 15 years that they’ve been trying to remake this movie, and I’m very happy that it’s finally becoming a reality,” he said.
