Currently, the movie adaptation of the famous game Metal Gear Solid is still in the development process to make it better.
Many of you may already be familiar with this famous franchise from the PlayStation console. Metal Gear Solid is one of the most famous video game series in history. Hideo Kojima is the creator behind this game, which features a main character named Solid Snake.

Since 2018, there has been an announcement regarding the Metal Gear Solid game adaptation project. At the time, it was known that the movie would be directed by director Jordan Vogt-Roberts, and reportedly Oscar Isaac had been chosen to play the character of Solid Snake.
Jordan himself is aware of the big challenge he is about to face and revealed that he has a plan for this film.
The creators themselves have actually supported this movie project. However, unfortunately, since 2020 until now there has been no more news about the Metal Gear Solid film adaptation. Oscar Isaac himself once said that this film project has not been canceled.
Metal Gear Solid Movie Production Takes a Long Time
However, the latest news reveals that the Metal Gear Solid movie project is still in development. This information appeared in a report on the site game.substack.com.
According to their report, Avi Arad, the producer of the movie, stated that game adaptation movie projects are a big challenge. He admitted that it took a long time to bring Metal Gear Solid, Uncharted, and Borderlands movie projects.
However, they say that they have learned a lot in recent years and plan to speed up the development process.
“You know it can take up to ten years. However, I think the process will be faster because we’ve learned a lot of things. I learned something about what has already been released and what we are working on. But we also learn how others adapt.”
This indicates that the process of making the film adaptation will still take the next few years. Therefore, it is likely that the movie will only be released in 2027 or 2028.
