The Michael Jackson biopic is officially being made. So who will handle the biopic and who will play MJ?
Michael Jackson is undeniably a legendary singer. His face, his voice, his songs, and even his entire personal life are iconic. So it’s no wonder that his figure is still missed so much.
It’s no wonder that many of us, since his departure in 2009, have wanted to see him and his life again through a feature film adaptation.
Well after almost 15 years of praying and wanting this, finally the thing we wanted was granted too.
Michael Jackson Biopic
The Michael Jackson biopic is finally being made too. And as reported by The Hollywood Reporter, this adaptation was handled by the Lionsgate studio. Then the movie was given a simple title, Michael.
Producing the movie is Graham King. King is the producer of Queen frontman Freddie Mercury’s biopic Bohemian Rhapsody (2018). The scriptwriter is John Logan (Gladiator, The Aviator) and the director is Antoine Fuqua (Olympus Has Fallen, The Equalizer).
But unfortunately, until this article was uploaded, the actor who will play Jackson is not known at all. In other words, they are still casting the actor.
The Theme and Story of the Movie
Then what about the overall theme and story of the movie? So as revealed by Lionsgate, this Michael Jackson biopic will tell the whole story of MJ’s real-life life.
However, since the movie is being made with the consent of the family, it is not yet known how much controversial elements will be featured in the movie.
If so, then we can be sure that the controversial elements of his life will be presented as we saw in Bohemian Rhapsody. That is, the controversial elements will still be shown but at the same time not demeaning / demonizing MJ.
But let’s wait and see. Because once again the movie is still in process. Well what do you think now with this news?
