In the action-packed new trailer for “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning,” we see Tom Cruise asking his IMF colleagues to join him on one more dangerous mission to save the world.
The film, which will reportedly be Cruise’s last appearance as secret agent Ethan Hunt, will hit theaters by Paramount Pictures on May 23.
1. Mission: Impossible The Final Reckoning New Trailer
Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning finally unveiled their new trailer at Super Bowl LIX. The trailer gives a more in-depth look at the thrilling action delivered by Tom Cruise.
As one of the most famous action movie stars, Cruise continues to raise expectations by performing various dangerous scenes himself that amaze audiences. In this trailer, he is seen performing extreme stunts by hanging onto the wings of a biplane as it flies high in the sky.
The movie does not shy away from showing the extreme stunts that the franchise is known for. In one scene, Cruise is seen hanging upside down from a plane, trying hard to keep himself safe.
He is known for taking risks in movies, having previously climbed the Burj Khalifa and jumped off a cliff on a motorcycle. However, even he feels that his latest stunt is over the top.
“At speeds between 120 to 130 miles per hour, when your face comes out of the airplane, you don’t get oxygen,” Cruise revealed in his interview with Empire. “Because of that, I had to train myself to breathe. There were times when I fainted; I couldn’t go back to the cockpit.”
There are still many tense moments to come based on this latest trailer. The teaser shows scenes of someone attempting to damage and get inside a nuclear submarine that is quickly sinking, as well as images of Cruise running away from an unseen threat.
2. Continuing the Story of Dead Reckoning Part One
Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning will continue the story from Dead Reckoning Part One, where Ethan Hunt successfully retrieved the cruciform key from Gabriel’s hands. However, the battle is not over yet, as Ethan must now search for the Entity, an extremely dangerous AI, thought to be at the bottom of the Arctic Sea.
The latest trailer also showcases the stunning locations that will be part of Ethan’s adventure, including London and Africa.
In terms of action, the film once again offers the level of suspense that has become the hallmark of Mission: Impossible. The thrilling scenes on offer are likely to surpass anything that has come before.
Viewers can expect more chase scenes, close-quarters fights, and dangerous missions that further add to the complexity of Ethan and his team’s struggle.
In a previous interview, director Christopher McQuarrie stated that there was one moment in the movie that was so thrilling that the audience who participated in the test run felt short of breath and almost had a heart attack. Although the details of the scene are still a secret, McQuarrie guarantees that the action this time will be one of the most thrilling in the history of the Mission: Impossible series.
