The movie Ballerina is making a comeback with the launch of the new trailer that has just been released. This is the first spin-off of the John Wick series, which features Ana de Armas as the main character. Ana de Armas will play Eve, an assassin who is determined to avenge the death of her family.

This new feature, which we can consider the latest trailer of Ballerina, was part of the presentation at Comic Con Experience (CCXP). Lionsgate introduced a new feature on Ballerina, giving a behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming John Wick spinoff film.
Set between John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and John Wick: Chapter 4, Ballerina chronicles Eve’s journey on a revenge mission for justice for her father’s death. This latest trailer highlights the intense training in combat and choreography that de Armas underwent to play the ballerina-turned-assassin.
In addition, the trailer also features dangerous stunts, including a scene with a flamethrower that involves more than 100 victims.
The John Wick team’s decision to turn the story into a feature film required an experienced actor who could perform both action and emotional roles well. De Armas seems to fulfill that expectation.
Ballerina’s latest trailer also reflects the John Wick franchise’s commitment to authentic and passionate action, giving Eve the opportunity to become a powerful addition to the John Wick universe.
De Armas’ extensive preparation for the film continues the tradition of character development based on a distinctive fighting style, similar to John’s harmonious blend of martial arts and firearms expertise. However, Wiseman emphasized, “This is not a ‘female version of John Wick.’ It’s a story about Eve starting her journey from scratch.”
2. Release Schedule Delayed
Apart from Ana de Armas, the movie also features legendary actors from the world of John Wick, including Keanu Reeves who returns as John Wick, Ian McShane as Winston, and Anjelica Huston as Leader Ruska Roma.
In this movie, you will also see Norman Reedus, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Gabriel Byrne, and the late Lance Reddick. The production is handled by Thunder Road Films and 87Eleven Entertainment, with Chad Stahelski as one of the producers.
As shown in the first trailer released earlier this year, the movie Ballerina is set between John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and John Wick: Chapter 4. Although it was originally planned to hit theaters this year, the release schedule was pushed back to June 2025 for reshoots.
The delay had fans worried, but de Armas gave a reassuring statement in an interview. “Everything we did in the reshoots was very important. We got an amazing result. It’s really amazing,” he said.
