The latest trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine reveals reassurances about the role of the X-Men and their connection to the MCU Multiverse. Marvel Studios has officially unveiled the second trailer for Deadpool 3, following their previous announcement yesterday.
The premiere trailer of the movie was first released during the last Superbowl, revealing the presence of Deadpool and Wolverine in the MCU. Marvel has now released another official trailer for the movie.
New Deadpool & Wolverine trailer reveals X-Men and Multiverse roles
The trailer opens with a moment where Wolverine is in a bar. Next, Deadpool shows up and begs Wolverine to help him in a mission he is working on.
What’s interesting is that the scene has similarities to what happened in X-Men: First Class.
The difference lies in the characters that Wolverine interacts with; in Deadpool 3, the character is Wade, while in First Class, Wolverine is met by Magneto and Professor X.
By the end of the trailer, we can officially confirm that the movie will include elements of the Multiverse in the MCU. The movie could also potentially be an opportunity to officially introduce the X-Men team and the process of transitioning mutant characters into the MCU.
The trailer seems to confirm the various speculations that have been circulating among fans about Wolverine’s presence in this movie.
Based on his theory, the Wolverine seen in Deadpool 3 is not the real Wolverine, but an alternate version. This is based on the fact that the “real” Wolverine was killed in Logan.
The Wolverine that Deadpool meets is probably the version that didn’t manage to save his world. In this trailer, there is also a scene of Wolverine in a cemetery.
The tombs are likely to belong to other members of the X-Men who have died. In addition, the trailer confirmed that Cassandra Nova will play a crucial role in the movie.
Until now, it is unclear whether the character Cassandra Nova plays, is a villain, or just the twin sister of Charles Xavier.
Meanwhile, the trailer ends with Wolverine and Deadpool diving into a portal, which looks similar to the one Doctor Strange and other wizards use.
