The latest movie from the Karate Kid project has finally gotten an official title complete with a logo. The title of this sequel produced by Sony Pictures is Karate Kid: Legends. 1. Sony to Announce Official Title of New Karate Kid Movie at Comic Con 2024
News of the Karate Kid sequel’s official title came in an announcement that Sony shared on Twitter. In the announcement, the movie titled Karate Kid: Legends will be featured in Sony’s panel at New York Comic Con 2024, which will take place on October 18, 2024.
In addition to Karate Kid: Legends, Sony’s panel will also promote two other movies, Venom: The Last Dance and Kraven the Hunter.
Karate Kid: Legends will be the sixth project in the hugely popular martial arts franchise. In addition, the movie will also bring together all the movies in the Miyagiverse.
Miyagiverse is a term introduced by the creators of the Cobra Kai series to refer to the various projects in The Karate Kid franchise featuring the character Mr. Miyagi. In 2010, a remake version of Karate Kid was released featuring Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan.
2. Plot Not Yet Revealed
Plot details of Karate Kid: Legends have yet to be revealed, but the story will reportedly focus on a character named Li Fong, a fighter from China who is undergoing training.
Li Fong felt that his strength and purpose in life developed through martial arts and a stern but wise mentor. There is speculation that Mr. Han and Daniel LaRusso will be Li Fong’s trainers.
The reason why Sony is backing this movie is most likely due to the success of Cobra Kai. The series is a sequel to Karate Kid that tells the story of Macchio and Johnny Lawrence 30 years after the events of the first trilogy.
The movie succeeds because it presents many elements from the original movie. Let’s wait for more information about this movie to come next week.
