On the occasion of the release of the sequel to Super Mario Bros. Movie, the lead actor has given his feedback on the movie that will explore more in the world of Nintendo characters.

In a recent interview with Screen Rant, Chris Pratt explained more about his movie’s contribution to the future of the franchise.

In addition, Chris Pratt also revealed plans to create a cinematic universe involving Nintendo characters called the Nintendo Cinematic Universe.

“There are so many things that can be explored. There’s a lot of decades-old games that can be explored, not just with Mario and Peach and Donkey Kong and Luigi and Bowser and Roshi; who are brought in at the end. However, it made me very excited. I’ve been a huge Nintendo fan since I was a kid, so thinking about how everything from Legend of Zelda to the entire Nintendo Cinematic Universe could be created and what the characters I love would be like? I mean, there’s really no limit. We could talk about this for hours.”

It may be true that Illumination Entertainment is currently developing a cinematic universe for Nintendo characters, as Chris Pratt mentioned.

If this is true, it would be an unprecedented achievement for a game adaptation to succeed in the market. It would also be the first cinematic universe based on a game in history.
