Bob Odenkirk is reprising his role in the sequel to the action-thriller Nobody, but this time with a different director. According to a report from Variety, Timo Tjahjanto, an Indonesian director known for his works such as The Night Comes for U and May the Devil Take You, will be working on Nobody 2.

Nobody 2 is set to begin production this August. The movie itself will continue Hutch Mansell’s story after the events that occurred in the first movie. Odenkirk emphasized that the production team is committed to maintaining the quality and intense action of the first movie.
Timo Tjahjanto will replace Ilya Naishuller as the director of the first Nobody movie. With Tjahjanto’s reputation for directing intense action sequences, Nobody 2 will hopefully bring a fresh and violent new element to the series.
Of course, fans of Bob Odenkirk and action movies can’t wait to see what Timo will offer in this collaboration.
Fans are also hoping that there will be the addition of exciting new characters to expand the plot and provide new challenges for Hutch.
Release Date
Universal Pictures started production on Nobody 2 in August and it is scheduled to premiere on August 15, 2025.
Connie Nielsen has been confirmed to be reprising the role of Becca Mansell, the wife of the main character played by Odenkirk, but there is no further information regarding the rest of the cast.
Derek Kolstad, who wrote the first movie, will be the scriptwriter for “Nobody 2” alongside Aaron Rabin, Odenkirk, and Umair Aleem. Marc Provissiero of Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment, Braden Aftergood of Eighty Two Films, and David Leitch and Kelly McCormick of 87North are working with Universal to produce the film.
The sequel to the first film “Nobody,” produced by Ilya Naishuller and released in March of 2021, earned $57 million worldwide.
This achievement opens the door for a second movie, which is expected to deliver more thrilling action and a more engaging story with a creative touch from Timo Tjahjanto.
