First, we will discuss the origin of Madame Web. So according to the story, Madame Web is a mutant character created by Denny O’Neil and John Romita Jr. who debuted in 1981’s Amazing Sipder-Man #210.

Before becoming a superhero, Madame Web was an old woman named Cassandra Webb. Growing up in Oregon, Cassandra was born blind and with a neurological disease that made it difficult for her to move.

Because of her condition, her husband built her a life support system with super advanced technology. Now the unique tool is similar to a giant spider’s web.

Next is the beginning of Madame Web becoming Spider-Man’s friend. One day Peter Parker saw an advertisement promoting the power of Madame Web, out of curiosity, he decided to meet Madame Web in person.

When the two met, Madame Web performed telepathy and uncovered Peter Parker’s secret. Not only that, the old woman helped Spider-Man to find the location of the villain. From then on, the two of them decided to work together.

Next is the power of Madame Web. As we discussed in the previous point, Madame Web or Cassandra Web does have a weak physique and cannot live a normal life.

But instead he got superpowers and his powers are Telepathy, Astral Projection, suggesting other people’s thoughts and being able to predict the future. Not only that, one day the Green Goblin invited Madame Web to participate in the Gathering of the Five ritual.

While everyone who participated in the ritual received negative power, Madame Web received the positive power of immortality. Interestingly, this immortality makes Madame Web recover from illness and return to youth again.

Well Madame Web also experienced this, she lost her youthful strength and physique. Continuing in Amazing Spider-Man #600, Madame Web helps Peter Parker face the Kraven the Hunter family.

In the fight, Madame Web lost her life, but before dying she passed on her powers to Julia. The moment marked the beginning of Julia becoming the new Madame Web.
