Lee Sun-kyun, a South Korean actor who played a role in the Oscar-winning film, “Parasite” reportedly passed away on Wednesday (27/12/2023). Police suspect that he died by suicide. The 48-year-old actor was found unconscious in a car in a park in Seoul on the morning of Wednesday.
The police officers found burning charcoal briquettes in the victim’s car. Therefore, they suspected that the victim’s death was due to suicide. Earlier, Jeon Hye-jin, Lee Sun-kyun’s spouse, informed the police that her husband had left home.
According to a report from Yonhap, Jeon Hye-jin also revealed that she found a note that looked like a suicide note.
Despite his popularity in the movie industry, Lee Sun-kyun has been under investigation by the police for alleged unlawful drug use since October last year.
Until now, the case is still ongoing and it is unclear whether it will continue after the news of Lee Sun-kyun’s death.

Lee Sun-kyun is the star of the movie Parasite
Lee Sun-kyun, who was born in 1975, played the character of a wealthy father in the movie “Parasite”. In addition, he has also played the lead in several South Korean films, such as the thriller “Helpless” in 2012 and “All About My Wife” in 2014.
