The 1981 horror classic, Possesion, will soon get a remake. This announcement comes after more than 40 years since the original movie was released.
According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter on June 13, 2024, Parker Finn and Robert Pattinson will join forces to produce an updated version of the film.
Although it is still in its early stages, several leading companies such as A24, Netflix, Warner Bros., Paramount, and Sony are already interested in the project. Negotiations regarding the movie rights will take place in the next few days.

For those who don’t know, Possession is a psychological horror film released in 1981 and directed by Andrzej Zulawski.
The movie tells the story of a married couple, Mark (Sam Neill) and Anna (Isabelle Adjani), who live separately in Berlin after Anna suddenly wants a divorce.
Mark tries to find out the reason behind the decision, but Anna begins to show signs of unnatural behavior. In the end, it is revealed that Anna is involved with a mysterious and terrifying creature.
The previously distrustful Mark tries to find out the truth behind Anna’s confession. However, the more he finds out, the more it becomes apparent that there is something worse going on.
