Origin of the Sentry
Sentry is a character created by writer Paul Jenkins and illustrator Jae Lee. This character first debuted in The Sentry #1 comic published in September 2000.

In the comic Sentry (Vol. 2) #8 (2006) explains the power of The Sentry which comes from the super soldier serum. This serum was developed by an organization called Department K.
Not only did they seek to replicate Captain America’s super serum, but they also sought to enhance it many times over. This serum then has the name Golden Sentry Serum.
The serum was eventually retrieved by Robert Reynolds, also known as Bob, a meth addict who accidentally entered Department K’s secret lab.
He is then seduced to become a test subject for The Sentry’s superpowers in the laboratory. From the Thunderbolts trailer which shows Bob wearing scrubs, it seems that the origin of The Sentry’s powers will have similarities as in the comics.
