After releasing only one movie in 2022, Black Adam, the DC Universe can be said to be making a very big and crazy comeback in 2023. How not? Because there will be 4 superhero films that will be released this year (hopefully there is no change).

Shazam! Fury of the Gods Synopsis
As you can also see and hear through the release of the new trailer, the setting of Shzam! Fury of the Gods is several years after the first movie. I assume the timeline is the same as the real-life timeline, aka 2023.
Anyway in this sequel, Billy Batson aka Shazam (Asher Angel & Zachary Levi) and his entire super family must face a new threat. Well this new threat is the female goddess villain group, Daughters of Atlas.
The villain group has 3 members: Anthea (Rachel Zegler), Kalypso (Lucy Liu), and Hespera (Helen Miren). The trio’s motivation in this sequel, as you heard in the trailer and also as reported by MovieWeb, is because they are annoyed with Shazam.
Specifically, the three of them were upset that Billy and his Shazam family were considered stealing the superpowers of the gods, especially from the god who was also their father, Atlas.
Billy is More Humane
Now seeing the threat, of course Billy and the rest of the Shazam family move to stop the three. But as we see through the trailer, Billy is not sure if he can defeat them.
And it is this aspect that for me is the strong and cool value of this sequel. This is because it can make the figure of Billy look much more human or humane. In addition, another strong point of this sequel is the whole action aspect, which looks fantastic.
Well let’s just pray that Shazam! Fury of the Gods will indeed be as cool as expected.
