Nocturnal is the latest Korean movie featuring Ha Jung-woo and Kim Nam-gil. This is the second time these two famous actors collaborated after the movie The Closet (2020). The synopsis of Nocturnal tells the story of a man’s investigation into the death of his brother, besides that, he also has to look for his brother’s wife who disappeared without a trace.
A crime thriller with a neo-noir feel, the movie will present Ha Jung-woo’s various actions and violence in his quest to catch the culprit who killed his sister.
1. Nocturnal Synopsis
Min-tae (Ha Jung-woo) suddenly discovers that his brother has died mysteriously. To his further surprise, his brother’s wife, Moon-young (Yoo Da-in), also disappeared the same night without a trace.
In a state of grief and confusion, Min-tae attempts to uncover what really happened. His efforts lead him to meet Ho-ryung (Kim Nam-gil), a famous writer who seems to have a mysterious connection to the case.
Ho-ryung has just released a popular novel called “Nocturnal”, which eerily predicts the death of Min-tae’s sister. The deeper she investigates, the clearer it becomes that there is a dark secret hidden behind the event.
Min-tae is not only dealing with a confusing reality, but also has to deal with gangsters and police officers who seem to be involved in the case. With tensions mounting, he is determined to find the truth about what really happened on the night of his sister’s death, even if it means he has to risk his own life.

Nocturnal is a movie by Kim Jin-hwang. Although production started in 2021, the movie was released in March 2025. Here is the list of the Nocturnal cast:

In South Korea, the film will premiere on February 5, 2025, while in Indonesia, Nocturnal will start airing in theaters on March 19, 2025.
