Parasyte: The Grey on Netflix will be a live action adaptation with a new story. This was confirmed by the mangaka and the director. This series is one of Netflix ‘s original series that will entertain viewers this year.
Interestingly, the series combines several genres such as action, science fiction, horror, and mystery. The series adapts Hitoshi Iwaaki’s Parasyte manga which has sold over 25 million copies in 20 countries and regions.
Yeon Sang Ho is the director of this series. He is known for his expertise in the Zombie movie genre such as Hellbound (2021) and JUNG_E (2023). He has also been successful with the movie Train to Bussan.

Parasyte: The Grey tells the story of an unknown parasitic creature that lives by utilizing humans as its hosts. As they grow stronger, they begin to cause damage and disrupt human life.
Therefore, a group of people finally decided to fight the evil forces that were getting stronger. A woman named Jung So In, became the center of attention.
She lives with a parasite that cannot control his brain. On the other hand, Seol Gang Woo is looking for parasites to find her missing sister.

2. Airing Schedule
Parasyte: The Grey is not the first adaptation of the Kiseiju (Parasyte) manga. Previously, Kiseiju has received an anime adaptation with a total of 24 episodes and also a live action movie divided into two parts in 2014 and 2015.
The schedule for the Netflix version of the Parasyte manga live-action series has been announced. The series Parasyte: The Grey will be released on April 5, 2024.
